Ultratech machine vision systems going to Japan for thin film head production

Ultratech Stepper, Inc. (San Jose, California) has obtained a multi-million dollar order for several Ultratech 1700 Machine Vision Systems from a Japanese thin film head manufacturer. The Japanese customer will expand its giant magneto resistive production capacity with a new facility in Asia after the thin film head lithography tools are shipped within the next six months.
