Orbimage to upgrade National Reconnaissance Office ground station

Orbital Imaging Corporation (Dulles, Virginia), a subsidiary of Orbital Sciences Corporation, has been selected by the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office to upgrade the Eagle Vision II transportable satellite ground station. The $2.8 million upgrade program will allow the U.S. military to receive high-resolution imagery in real time from Orbital Sciences Corporation's OrbView-3 satellite which is scheduled for launch later this year. The enhancement will allow reception and processing of one-meter resolution panchromatic and four-meter resolution multispectral imagery transmitted from OrbView-3.
