Kodak, FED reach OLED technology licensing agreement

Eastman Kodak Company (Rochester, New York) has reached an agreement to license its Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) technology to FED Corporation (Hopewell Junction, New York). The flat panel display, which uses organic material as a diode type light emitting material, will be used in high-resolution microdisplay products including head-wearable displays, viewfinders, and certain military applications. The companies will cooperate in technology development activity to enhance OLED technology, including the development of full-color microdisplays.
