Raytheon Systems Company (Lexington, Massachusetts) and Thomson-CSF (Paris, France) signed a consortium contract to implement the FLORAKO air defense system for the Swiss Defence Procurement Agency (DPA). The Raytheon-Thomson consortium will provide new radar sensors at military radar sites, new communication equipment throughout Switzerland, and will renovate the existing command and control centers. The eight-year contract is worth 393 million Swiss francs.
