Scan-Optics receives order to integrate IRS scanning project

Scan-Optics, Inc. (Manchester, Connecticut) has received an order worth $1.7 million from Northrop-Grumman (Los Angeles, California) for upgrades to the 19 scanning and tax processing systems used in the Internal Revenue Service's SCRIPS project. The upgrades will include updated monitors, hardware and software, digital cameras, and JBIG encoders for regional IRS offices around the country.
