Nokia successfully tests trial call with WCDMA terminal

Nokia has successfully completed the first trial call with a Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) terminal. The tests, conducted at Nokia's research and development facility in Japan, create the potential for data and images to be simultaneously shared with users who are connected with a voice or video connection. Nokia expects to launch WCDMA terminals in Japan and Europe in 2001 or 2002.
