Philips Analytical acquires Active Impuse Systems

Philips Analytical, a business uint of the product division Philips Business Electronics, has acquired Active Impulse Systems, a semiconductor metrology equipment manufacturer with a reputation for developing leading-edge opto-acoustic technology products in the field of thin film metrology. The purchase will allow joint development efforts with Philips Analytical, which is the world's leading supplier of instrumentation and software for x-ray diffraction and x-ray fluorescence spectrometry, as well as broadening Philips' product range.
