Singapore optics website

Supported by the Singapore Productivity and Standards Board (PSB) andSPIE Singapore Chapter, the optics industry in Singapore has built itsown website - Singapore Optics Website (http://www.singoptics.org). The objective of the website isto promote global awareness of Singapore's competitiveness andcapability in optics. It aims to serve as a one-stop information centerfor the optics/photonics industry in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

With currently over 30 registered members, the website is sponsored bymajor precision optics companies in Singapore, including AvimoElectro-Optics, Leica Instruments Singapore, and Plummer OpticsSingapore. The member profile covers several important sectors relatedto optics: precision optics, data storage, opto-electronics,electronics, ophthalmic, solar control products, optics suppliers andresearch laboratories. The website provides key information on localcompanies and their activities, and informs the registered members ofthe latest information in the world through periodically-updatedcross-linkages with other optics/photonics websites. A special page isdesignated as SPIE Local Activities, which will feature articles orevents organised by the SPIE Singapore Chapter.
