U.S. Display Consortium launches working group

The United States Display Consortium, an industry/government venture organized to develop an infrastructure to support a North American electronicdisplay industry, has launched a Project Display Working Group consisting of representatives from Texas Instruments, Proxima, dpiX (a Xeroxsubsidiary), IBM, Electrohome, Sarnoff, and InFocus. The working group's first activity was to issue a request for proposal (RFP) for illuminationtechnologies. The consortium consists of over 130 corporate members along with the Defense Advanced Research Project Industry.
