Laser-welding monitor licensed to Spawr

A laser-welding monitor which uses a passive sensor and associated optics to measure emissions from the weld during processing has been licensed toSpawr Industries of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The monitor was developed by Argonne National Laboratory and Delphi Energy and EngineManagement Systems, although Spawr has integrated the weld monitor into the focusing optics assembly to eliminate the need for alignment on the factoryfloor.
