DRS sells medical systems unit to U.S. Surgical Corporation

DRS Technologies, Inc., has sold the assets of DRS Medical Systems to United States Surgical Corporation. DRS Medical Systems was formed as apartnership between DRS Technologies and Universal Sonics Corporation to produce medical ultrasound imaging equipment, but the sale allows DRS toconcentrate on defense electronics and commercial magnetic head product areas while providing DRS Medical Systems with the medical industry strengthsof U.S. Surgical Corporation.
