FDA clears first Erbium scanner

The Food and Drug Administration has given Candela Corporation approval to market a skin-scanning device used for aesthetic laser surgery. Candela, which will use the device with its Skinlight Er:YAG laser system, has marketing rights in the United States for the Slovenian product Skinscan.
