Report yields real numbers on tech transfer trends

The Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) recently released its latest "AUTM Licensing Survey," providingobjective information related to the field of academic technology transfer.

The Survey gathers data on the technology transfer programs of both U.S. and Canadian institutions. Topics covered by the Survey include activity information such as invention disclosures, patents, and licenses; financial information such as royalties received, payments made to other institutions, and legal fees and reimbursements; and organizational information such as staffing levels and numbers of staff carrying out various kinds of work. The unique report costs $30 for AUTM members, $90 for non-members. A summary version for $10/$25.
