Firefly Technologies buys Specialty Thinfilm Services

Firefly Technologies, a US manufacturer of components and equipment for optical data storage, has bought Specialty Thinfilm Services, a Massachusetts company with expertise in making elements for optical packaging.

The acquisition includes technology, processes and customer base and builds on an existing relationship between the two companies. Specialty's three employees have now joined the forty people who already work for Firefly in Boston, MA.
