Bioluminescence measurements ofsaliva reveal stress levels, Russian scientists told the 10th International Symposium on Bioluminescence andChemiluminescence in Bologna. Ateam from Krasnoyarsk State University tested three groups of peoplebefore and after a given activity: healthy 4 to 5-year-olds playing,wrestlers training and students in lectures. They found that the lightintensity of an excited saliva-enzyme mixture corresponded to the stateof stress.
