Welch Allyn, Inc. (Skaneateles Falls, New York) and SpectRx, Inc. (Norcross, Georgia) have signed a letter of intent for the joint research, development, and marketing of non-invasive cervical and skin cancer diagnostic products. The agreement will use SpectRx's biophotonic technology and Welch Allyn Medical Products' diagnostic equipment expertise to develop a painless, non-invasive light energy to reveal key metabolic and structural changes which occur as cells transfer from normal to malignant states.
