Nortel, Kapsch to provide 10 Gbit/s DWDM network for United Telecom Austria

Nortel (St. John, New Brunswick, Canada), in conjunction with its Austrian Licensee, Kapsch (Vienna, Austria), will be providing United Telecom Austria (Vienna, Austria) with a 10 Gbit/s bidirectional fiber network with dense-wavelength division multiplexing. The network, which is expected to be completed in November, will be capable of deploying up to 320 Gbit/s and will deploy Nortel's Multi-wavelength Optical Repeater system.
