Wallace-Kettering Neuroscience Institute selects Microvision to build image-guided surgery display system

The Wallace-Kettering Neuroscience Institute has signed a letter of intent with Microvision, Inc., to collaborate on a project which will involve the design, fabrication, integration, and beta testing of an advanced head-worn display for neurosurgical visualization. The Microvision display incorporating Virtual Retinal Display technology will be merged into a computer-guided neurosurgical navigation system to allow surgeons to use images and visual cues to guide navigation within the brain.
