Mitsubishi and Lockheed to develop military equipment

Mitsubishi Electronic Corp. and Lockheed Martin Corp. have reached a basic agreement for a broad venture to develop military equipment. The agreement includes cooperation in missile-mounted electronic devices and weapons control systems, electronic war systems, and radar devices mounted on aircraft and ships. In addition to exchanging technologies and marketing data, the two companies will also propose new products to Japan's defense agency.
