Telecom Eirann will use Siemens broadband ATM solution

Telecom Eirann has chosen the Siemens/Newbridge MainStreetExpress platform for its broadband multiservice ATM solution to consolidate and facilitate high bandwidth network services. The initial work will install six MainStreetXpress 36170 multiservices switches in Dublin; the network is expected to reach a total of 25 nodes by the end of the year. The broadband ATM network will allow Telecom Eirann to provide data and voice solutions on a single platform.
