South Africa selects Airsys/Decca for surveillance radars

The Air Traffic and Navigation Services Company Limited has signed a contract with Airsys ATM and Decca South Africa Ltd. for the delivery of three STAR 200 S-band primary surveillance radars and an RSM 970 I monopulse secondary surveillance radars. The STAR 2000 radars will be installed at the South African airports in Johannesberg, Cape Town, and Durban. The secondary surveillance system is part of a national remote control and monitoring facility.
