Planar Systems receives CRT supply contract

Planar Systems, Inc., has received a multi-year contract to supply cathode ray tubes to Smiths Industries. The tubes can be used in either the F/A-18 Navy fighters or the AV8-B Harrier aircraft, and Smiths Industries will purchase 430 of the CRTs over the next two years with an option to take an additional 200 units in the year 2000. The initial contract is worth approximately $6.5 million.
