Textron awarded $144 million contract for Sensor Fuzed Weapon

The Aeronautical Systems Center has awarded Textron Systems a $144 million contract to provide the United States Air Force with 550 Sensor Fuzed Weapons. The Sensor Fuzed Weapon is a direct-strike, air-to-ground, smart munition developed in partnership with the USAF. It can be deployed on operational USAF or NATO tactical aircraft and utilizes smart Skeet warhead technology to seek and sense moving or stationary land combat vehicles.
