Lockheed acquires postal service companies

Lockheed Martin Corporation has agreed to acquire three companies that develop postal mailing equipment and services. Postal technologies, Inc., develops and manufactures high-speed document processing systems including barcode readers and sorters. Habitech, Inc., designs and manufactures high-speed image products for automated pattern/character recognition systems. National Presort of Oklahoma provides sorting devices for customers who desire postage discounts for barcoded and presorted mail. Pending U.S. government approval the companies will become part of Lockheed Martin Federal Systems.
