Stanford Telecommunications awarded GBS satellite terminal subcontract

Stanford Telecommunications, Inc., has received an $8.4 million subcontract as part of the Global Broadcast Service Phase II System contract awarded to Hughes Information Systems. Stanford Telecom will deliver three Primary Injection Point terminals with up to seven dual-band transportable theater injection terminals, spares, and upgrades as contract options which could increase the total subcontract value to $18 million. Stanford Telecom will perform the contract work over the next 24 months at its Colorado Springs SATCOM Ground Systems division.
