Geltech wins STTR contract

Geltech, Inc., has received a Phase II contract as part of the Department of the Army's STTR program. The $500,000 contract was for the proposal entitled "OpticalLimiting Windows for Eye and Sensor Protection for Laser Radiation" and provides passive protection from damage by intense laser pulses. Geltech will buildprototype windows modeled in silica using the sol-gel technology and will team with Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Center for Research in Electro-Opticsto produce the prototypes.
