R. Matthews to develop aspherics

Matthews Optical Works Inc. (Poulsbo, WA) is broadening its optical fabrication services with the introduction of custom aspheric-lens-element fabrication on aprototype or production basis. Elements will range from 15 to 100 mm in diameter; plans call for eventual offerings of even larger sizes. The company offers singleand double aspheric lens forms from a variety of materials, including high-index glasses; components feature form tolerances ranging from 3 to 5 um, with zone-freecontours.
