Standard Missile wins Navy contract

The Naval Sea Systems Command awarded a $70.7 million contract to Standard Missile Co. in McLean, Va. The company was recently formed by Hughes Aircraft Company and Raytheon Co. and is responsible for all aspects of Standard missile design, engineering, production and depot level maintenance. The contract will fulfill research and development engineering support services to Standard Missile Co.
