IST Lighting grows partner network

23 Mar 2009

Aldridge, UK - March 18 2009: IST Lighting has announced the latest additions to its rapidly expanding strategic partner network to distribute its industry-leading LED downlighters, iDrive LED drivers and other lighting products in target territories across Europe and beyond. IST Lighting is continually expanding its patented LED product portfolios and has seen a phenomenal increase in enquiries from Europe and the Middle East. In order to provide a high level of customer service, IST has appointed three new distribution partners covering mainland Europe and the Chinese state of Hong Kong, amongst others.

The appointments coincide with the development of several unique, new IST products, including the much anticipated mains dimmable driver, MultiDIM, which can not only operate on standard dimmers but offers the choice of four maximum LED current levels with each driver. The high efficiency (>85%) MultiDIM family comes in several models, covering 110Vac, 240Vac and 277Vac, and with output currents from 300mA up to 2A. A further six iDrive model variations will also be launched, including a 700mA 3 channel, 110W and 4 channel, 350mA 90W DMX LED driver. There will also be the launch of a new family of high-efficiency LED downlighters, as well as a selection of commercially exciting new additions to the lighting product portfolio.

Munich-based SchahlLED Lighting GmbH & Co, the LED applications centre of the L&O Group, have been appointed to distribute IST Lighting products throughout Germany, as well as Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland, UAE and the UK. As distributors for the likes of Lamina, LedEngin, Osram and Philips, Schahl is no newcomer to associations with global players and will play a key role in IST’s global network development. The association between SchahlLED Lighting and IST marks SchahlLED’s departure from the classical component distributor towards a more system-oriented and customer-driven development house.

Avolux, who will provide IST Lighting with a sales and support network in Romania, is particularly active in the architectural lighting sector and has an impressive number of interior lighting projects to its name. Avolux is a manufacturer and retailer of lighting products, who pride themselves on supplying customers with high quality, environmentally friendly lighting solutions at affordable prices.

Mix Technology, a provider of complete energy management solutions, will be IST’s sales channel in Hong Kong. Mix Technology also boasts an impressive number of major installation projects, including providing LED lighting solutions for the Hong Kong Government, major banks and corporations, Grade A office buildings, Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok Airport, as well as a number of utility companies. It is IST Lighting’s highly efficient downlighters, that Mix Technology anticipate will do extremely well in this market.

IST Lighting is a leading innovator in the design and manufacture of LED lighting technologies. With over 13 worldwide patents covering LED driver design, thermal management, optics and novel lighting fixtures, the company has a growing international reputation for high quality, efficient and innovative lighting solutions. IST was the first company to develop and sell a high wattage LED downlighter, which met Part L regulation or >45 lumens per watt efficiency. IST also developed the world’s first programmable variable voltage, variable forward current 1A LED driver, iDrive-1000, that works with the latest high power LEDs.

With an ever expanding global network of distributors, IST is in an excellent position to satisfy and support its rapidly growing international client base.
