Power Technology wins business prize

Arkansas, March 2nd 2009 - Power Technology has been named as the 2008 Arkansas Business of the Year. Power Technology was chosen from a group of 130 businesses and organizations from around the state that have shown exceptional growth and success in 2008.

The Arkansas Business of the Year Award is in its 21st year and is one of Arkansas' premier business achievements awarding Arkansas businesses for excellence in their own industries. The award for the 2008 Business of the Year was announced during a formal banquet held on the evening of February 24, 2009.

The Arkansas Business of the Year award is presented by Arkansas Business, the state's leading business journal, providing business news, research and analysis to 80,000 readers monthly. Winners are nominated by the general public and a panel of independent judges evaluates the nominations.

For 2008, over 130 nominations were made for the three business categories for businesses of different sizes, for non-profit organizations, and for executive of the year. Power Technology, was the winner in category II.
