In a new innovation for optics.org, our editors are gearing up to provide you with on-the-spot coverage of the latest developments announced the San Jose Convention Center.
This weekend sees the launch of optics.org's SHOWblog, an events blog by the editors of optics.org and Optics and Laser Europe magazine. Its aim is to provide you with on-the-spot news, views and analysis from the leading conferences and trade shows in the photonics industry.
And they don't come much bigger than Photonics West, which this year boasts more than 1000 exhibitors, four major technical programs, as well a host of short courses, panel discussions and plenary sessions. We'll be aiming to bring you the most significant technical innovations and commercial developments to be announced at the event...as they happen.
We'll be kicking off in earnest this weekend, when the BiOS conference and exhibition will be offering delegates a unique insight into the use of photonics in biology and medicine. After that, remember to check the blog for regular postings from our editors direct from the main Photonics West event.
Of course, we'd also like you to add your views by using the commenting tools at the end of each post. If you've got any questions or feedback about the coverage – or even a hot tip for us to follow up – please let us know.
