02 Jun 2020 trinamiX introduces a self-test feature for its PbS and PbSe infrared detectors by building in near-infrared LEDs into their TO packages. These carefully positioned LEDs periodically illuminate the detectors. The evaluation of that signal provides information about their operational and functional behavior. This mechanism ensures additional reliability for flame monitoring, spark detection or gas sensing.
