DigiLens of Sunnyvale, California, in the US, has recruited Morton Scwartz and Yashiro Koike to its technical advisory board. Schwartz is a former chief technology officer for AT&T network Cable Systems and Koike is an expert in polymer photonics and a professor of chemistry at Keio University in Tokyo.
At one time Schwartz led the research and development of optical fibers and cables at Bell Laboratories that culminated in the first standard application of optical transmission.
Koike's recent research includes high-speed polymer optical fibers and the development of photonics polymers with new optic functions.
