Northrop, Bharat to install four air traffic control systems in India

Northrop Grumman Corporation (Los Angeles, CA) and Bharat Electronics Limited (Bangalore, India) have been selected by the Airports Authority of India to produce and install four air traffic control systems. The systems to be installed in Nagpur, Varnasi, Behrampur, and Mangalore will include the advanced Mode S monopulse secondary surveillance radar and should be operational by the end of 2000.
