International Submarine Engineering, Limited (Port Coquitlam, British Columbia) has received an award from the Canadian Space Agency (Saint-Hubert, Quebec) to develop a hydraulic manipulator system which will be used for CSA's Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator robot designed for the International Space Station. The manipulator will be used to generate representative contact forces with the environment and is hydraulically actuated to allow maniuplation of mock-ups weighing up to 100 kg.
