Gould Precision Optics acquires VERNONscope & Company

Gould Precision Optics, Inc. (Binghamton, New York), a manufacturer of high-quality flat and cylindrical optics and optical assemblies, has acquired VERNONscope & Company, a producer of astronomical and bird watching optics and components. VERNONscope will operate as a division of Gould Precision Optics but will introduce Gould's products to a broader audience. Gould will develop new products and enhance some existing products while VERNONscope's methods, materials, and distribution will be unaffected. VERNONscope's products include eyepieces, barlow lenses, mounted glass filters, star diagonals, prisms, and birding scopes.
