Raytheon Systems Company (Lexington, Massachusetts) has been selected to deliver four F-16 unit training device simulators to the Egyptian Air Force. During training exercises EAF pilots will be able to acquire and identify targets and accurately deliver a wide range of weapons systems. Raytheon is also building a geo-specific visual system database which will encompass most of Egypt, allowing realistic practice of takeoffs and landings. The training devices are integrated with a single-channel rear projection display system with a 60 degree vertical and 80 degree horizontal field of view.
