FAA selects Raytheon for secondary surveillance radar

Raytheon Systems Company has received a contract worth up to $180 million to manufacture and install up to 152 new monopulse secondary surveillance radars for the Federal Aviation Administration's Air Traffic Control Beacon Integrator (ATCBI-6) replacement program. The ATCBI-6 will replace existing radar beacon systems and will integrate with primary surveillance radar operated by the FAA and the Department of Defense.
