Nortel will provide SDH network for Kazakhstan

Nortel's Turkish affiliate, Netas, has received a contract to provide shychronous digital hierarchy equipment and services for Kazakhtelecom for a network in southeast Kazakhstan. Nortel will supply fiber optic multiplexer tranmission to modernize the city of Almaty's network providing interconnections between existing local switches and trunk lines and to satellite stations for international traffic.
