Perceptronics receives SBIR for elevated reconnaissance system

Perceptronics, Inc., has received a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to develop a new elevated reconnaissance system for use by small military units in forward areas. The six-month project, which will be worth about $100,000 to Perceptronics, will develop the detailed design for the COVER (Commander's Observation Vehicle for Elevated Reconnaissance) system project which includes a modular sensing package on an electrically-tethered lifting vehicle.
