Motorola, Herley sign technology transfer agreement

Motorola Space and Systems Technology Group and Herley Industries, Inc., have concluded a licensing agreement for the manufacture of aircraft transponders, receivers and modulators used in military programs. Motorola will transfer its technology to Herley in exchange for an up-front payment, acceptance of manufacturing responsibility on existing Motorola contracts, and royalty payments.
