LaserSight to receive $7.5 million in patent agreement

LaserSight, Inc., has signed patent-related agreements with Nidek Co., Ltd., for the use of an ultraviolet laser to ablate human tissue. The deal will provide $7.5 million to LaserSight and transfer ownership of related non-U.S. patents to Nidek along with a non-exclusive license to use the U.S. patents.
