FLIR Systems acquires AGEMA Infrared Systems

The proposed acquisition by FLIR Systems, Inc., of AGEMA InfraredSystems was approved by stockholders Dec. 1. FLIR Systems, Inc.,will issue about $80 million in FSI stock to AGEMA's parentcompany, Spectra-Physics AB, in exchange for all outstanding sharesof AGEMA stock. The merger of FSI and AGEMA creates the world'slargest commercial infrared imaging company as well as expandinggeographic distribution of service centers.
