Hughes Aircraft Company's Sensors and Communications Systems Division has received a contract from Boeing to develop an Advanced TargetingForward-Looking Infrared sensor for the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet. The contract for 574 units could be worth more than $900 million, with the first tenengineering development models to be delivered for qualification and flight testing in mid-1999.
