SAIC develops nonimaging optics performance barrier-breaking design

Science Applications International Corporation scientists have announced the development of a design in which has, at least in simulations, broken aperformance barrier in the field of nonimaging optics. In the simulations the device design collects radiant energy from an extended source and produces abeam of light whose efficiency has been unprecedented.
