Edmund Scientific forms industrial optics division

Restructuring to streamline customer support, Edmund Scientific (Barrington, NJ) has separated operations into an industrial optics division and a consumer science division; Frank DiMinno has been named president of the Industrial Optics Division, which accounts for approximately 75% of company sales, while Gwynne Edmund will head the Consumer Science Division; the privately held company had sales of approximately $25 million to $30 million last year. At its New Jersey facility, Edmund Scientific recently occupied a new 20,000-sq ft complex focused primarily on the optics division.
