20 Mar 2026 Hamamatsu Photonics releases the S15152, a surface-mount Si PIN photodiode featuring a 5 × 5 mm photosensitive area, high sensitivity, and high-speed response. Designed for easy PCB integration, the device supports lead-free reflow soldering, making it suitable for automated assembly processes. The photodiode detects light across the 380–1100 nm spectral range and is designed for easy integration. Suitable for applications requiring a wide field of view, it performs effectively in free‑space optics, laser radars, power meters, barcode readers, and various measurement and analysis setups. Its stable performance and large active area make it adaptable across diverse optical sensing environments.
