Commonly used in lighting devices – such as protective filters for projector optics – and systems featuring heat-sensitive components, KG1 Heat Glass Filters help alleviate overheating issues. Thermally toughened to eliminate cracking from excessive thermal energy, and high in quality, our KG1 Heat Glass Filters are regularly integrated into such devices that receive too much incident IR transmission.

The KG1 Heat Glass Filters themselves are designed to transmit visible wavelengths to absorb heat, causing infrared (IR) wavelengths; therefore, preventing it from reaching your system. Although this capability makes the KG1 Heat Glass Filter a sought-after component for engineers and R&D professionals working on heat-sensitive systems; it's worth noting, however, that care should be taken in the design of systems using KG1 as the material is an absorptive blocker and will heat up with use.
