Knight Optical’s Custom-Made IR-Cut Filters for use in Heat Shielding

Commonly used for heat shielding applications, Knight Optical's premium-quality IR-Cut Filters are available as Custom-Made Components or from stock, tailored to the exact requirements of each and every project. For systems that require heat shielding and still need visibility, an IR-Cut Filter is regularly used. These can attenuate infrared (IR) radiation and allow visible light, which enables temperature-sensitive equipment to be used in a wide range of environments. Furthermore, they are also often used for systems that have high sensitivity to near-infrared (NIR) light, such as camera sensors. As such, these are often used in ANPR/ALPR and CCD or CMOS systems.

Providing good transmission levels of visible light and cutting off infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) radiation, our precision grade of IR Cut-Off Filters come with an Antireflective (AR) coating to increase visible transmission.
