Harmonic Separators for UV Laser Applications

06 May 2020

Nd:YAG LaserLine harmonic separators are designed to separate specific Nd:YAG laser harmonic wavelengths. The coatings for harmonic separators are deposited on λ/10 UV Fused Silica substrates using advanced Ion Beam Sputtering technology. These separators feature high reflection values and high LIDT.

The list of EKSMA Optics catalog Nd:YAG harmonic separators has just been expanded to include harmonic separators for the UV wavelengths – 266 nm and 355 nm.

Typical specifications of Nd:YAG UV harmonic separators operating at AOI=45°:

  • Reflected wavelength: T>99.5% at 355 nm or R>99.0% at 266 nm
  • Transmitted wavelength: T>98% at 532 nm and T>99% at 1064 nm
  • High LIDT: >1 J/cm2 at 266 nm, >5 J/cm2 at 355 nm, >5 J/cm2 at 532 nm and 1064 nm, measured at 10 ns, 100 Hz

Advanced Coatings based on Ion-Beam Sputtering Technology
